Two pictures of my mom's "90th" birthday party cake. We held an open house for her and she was very surprised. This cake was to serve 150 people. Can you guess that she is a big casino fan?
Don't let this picture fool ya !!!!!!!! Yes Trisha is on her tippy toes.

Tate was not sure if he wanted to be licked by a buffalo, but he sure loved saying that word. Also, he decided he would hang his hat on the horse's ear and then get his picture taken

Tate had a great time in downtown Omaha yesterday. He went and rode a goose while waiting to see daddy run at different times. He enjoyed his day very much.
If you click on the picture and enlarge it, you can see how excited Tate was to watch his daddy race. Eric just went past them and Tate held out his hand and daddy gave it a slap.

The first picture is Eric the night before his 26 miles, and the next one is 15 minutes into his big race (he is the one waving). He did an awesome job, way to go for a dream !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The family reunion was a little hot but we all seemed to have had a good time with talk and of course lots of good food. Someone even got us together as families and took pictures. What a great idea.

Mom and her daughter Judy at the family reunion in August. I know I am a little behind in my posts but waiting is worth it, right?
Mom and her little brother Pat. They look a lot alike I didn't realize that until this picture.

Tate started out a little bored with his first concert (country of course, Lonestar) then as people left because of the heat he roamed around a little more and enjoyed himself. But not too sure about the group behind him in the middle picture.
On the bus ride back to the van from the State Fair last weekend. Some were just plan wore out. (notice who has the pig hat on now !!!! )

A couple of weeks ago after a wedding we went to Eric's van (it had the car seat) to take Tate back to the hotel and he had a flat tire. Tate, we thought was tired, but boy did he have a time with the tire changing. Grandpa got the donut tire out of the back and laid it on the ground and Tate kept pointing and telling Grandpa, "broken Grandpa, broken". THEN when Grandpa took of the lug nuts he had to show Sara and I that Grandpa had broken that also. He was so amazed at how it all came apart and went together again. Daddy may some day go out to his car and Tate will be fixing the tire. And the next picture is really precious.

Grandpa and Daddy were putting the lug nuts back on and Tate pushed in between to make sure he knew how to do it for the next time.

Angi and Tate pose after picture taking. Notice the John Deere in Tate's hand? That is how they would get him to pose for the pictures. He had that in every picture, whatever works, right?

High hopes of becoming a flower girl for a wedding some day !!!!!

Monday, July 23, 2007

If you click on the picture and enlarge it you can see Tate has his mouth wide open and singing too. He was rocking back and forth with his music and the girls we starting to walk away. (he didn't seem to care) :)

The groom is trying to teach the kids a new move, but I don't know if any of them got it. Tate seem to be listening and doing the best moves with him.

This is Tate getting warmed up for the big dance. They had music playing during the meal. The top picture is his "Make Me Wanna Shout" move. They were down and putting their arms and legs up but he didn't grasp that part too well. The second one is him trying to get two little girls to do some dance moves with him, but he was too fast of a dancer for them.

Ok it was time to get the tux on Tate so Dad and Grandpa took the challenge. It was a hard fought battle to the end but well worth the fight

We got into the final round, and the next post finds Tate very charming

This is Tate in the tux he wore for the ring bearer job he did for his aunt Jenny's wedding on Saturday. Grandpa is getting ready to pin on his flower for the picture taking event. He did very well for a 20 month old. Plus his shirt was a size 6, the pants were also, but they tacked them up about 6 inches so his crotch was really low, but he didn't look too bad once all was tucked in and pulled up above the waist. Oh and the shoes were 2 sizes too big. The tux place didn't tell them they had nothing that small until the morning before the wedding. So he pulled it off well. We went back to the hotel and changed for the dancing, and those pictures will come later, he REALLY enjoyed that part.

If Connie would have just moved her leg Jay could have gotten in the picture too. Sure must have been a good show for all of us to be so cuddly. (think Bill would fit up there now?)

Eric and Angi were looking for a picnic table and Chuck mentioned that we don't use our much anymore so they could take ownership. It was John Deere colors with yellow benches and a green top and I decided I would decorate it up some for them. Now we just have to get the heavy thing to them.

Last Saturday night we went to the sprint car races in Knoxville with Sara. She got some free tickets at work so we thought we would see what they were like. It is a little "loud" as Tate would hold his ears and say, but it was really fun to watch those little cars go very fast around that 1/2 mile track. Oh, and it was also VERY hot on those metal bleachers looking into the sun, the drink line was always about a 1/2 mile long also. :) We each drank about 2 bottles of liquid when we got to the car. Remember if you want to see the cars better, you can just click on the picture and it will show a bigger view.

When we took Tate home last Friday he was being funny so I got the camera out and he wanted me to take pictures of his cell phone and his sippy cup. Also his feet and other things but I decided not to post them. :)

Tate loves to blow bubbles, even the adults had a great time

Kailee and Tate had a great time together on the Fourth, at the fireworks on a blanket and playing in the chair before supper.
